While recognizing the rising popularity and convenience of remote options, Taybah Academy solely offers in-person classes. In addition to seeking knowledge, Taybah Academy emphasizes creating an environment of righteous companionship (suhba) and spirituality, aspects more easily developed through in-person interactions.
Yes, Taybah Academy maintains that financial constraints should never be an impediment to pursuing knowledge. Students requiring financial scholarships should contact the Admin at info@taybahacademy.org.
The Islamic Essentials Program is designed to be flexible to meet the needs and schedule constraints of working professions and full-time students. While the Islamic Essentials Program has been designed to facilitate its completion in two years (four semesters) for those taking a full-load of classes (four courses per semester), students are able to take a lesser load to balance additional priorities. Please note that, at this time, courses are taught in alternating semesters, so students will need to select their classes accordingly to ensure selecting classes according to the class offerings. For planning purposes, students can refer to the Course Schedule.
Students are expected to dedicate at least 1-2 hours outside of class times to study and review course material. Additionally, students may be required to completed additional assignments outside of class.
Students are expected to provide basic note-taking materials for themselves. For course-specific books, instructors will email students a week before classes begin with any required material. For select courses, Taybah Academy offers books which are available for purchase.
Taybah Academy recognizes the ease which laptops and tablet provide in note-taking. Students are allowed to use such devices, but in spirit of upholding the proper etiquette of seeking knowledge, students must ensure that the use of such devices are limited to note-taking during class sessions.
Yes, Taybah Academy has been designed to serve both brothers and sisters.
Due to the nature of discussion and the possible rigor of certain courses, students should be at least 16 years old to enroll.
Exceptions may be made to allow early enrollment on a case-by-case basis. Students who are seeking early enrollment should contact the Admin at info@taybahacademy.org.
Students are allowed to retake courses in which they were previously enrolled.
Some courses will have an end-of-semester examination, while other courses will opt for end-of-semester assignments. Examinations are intended to provide students an opportunity to thoroughly review course material, display a grasp of the subject, and provide an assessment to the Taybah Academy staff on course curricula.
The Taybah Academy Islamic Essentials Program will launch in January 2025. The first day of classes is January 12, 2025, and the orientation is on January 5, 2025.
